Overview:
This conference aims to explore cutting-edge research in social and sustainable finance, emphasizing the role of financial systems in addressing societal and environmental challenges. Topics may include social equity, sustainability, innovative financial instruments, and the integration of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into decision-making. By fostering dialogue between scholars, policymakers, and practitioners, the event seeks to advance understanding of how finance can drive positive social and environmental outcomes while navigating the evolving global financial landscape.

Scope:
The conference invites contributions addressing a wide range of topics related to social and sustainable finance, including but not limited to:
• The role of financial instruments and markets in fostering environmental sustainability and social equity.
• Approaches to modelling and managing risks, including climate and social risks, in financial decision-making.
• The macroeconomic and policy dimensions of sustainable and socially responsible finance, such as fiscal, monetary, and regulatory frameworks.
• Innovations in finance aimed at addressing global challenges, from climate resilience to financial inclusion.

Submissions exploring interdisciplinary approaches, innovative methodologies, and practical applications are particularly encouraged.

Contributions
We anticipate that contributions to this conference will advance the understanding of the complex interactions between finance, social equity, and environmental sustainability. Submissions are welcome from a range of perspectives and methodologies, including econometric analyses and theoretical explorations.

Paper Submission Procedure:
A selection of the papers presented at the conference will be invited for submission to a Special Issue at the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking (JMCB). The Editor will be Luc Laeven (ECB). Submission fees to JMCB will be waived for the invited papers.

A conference registration fee of £350 is payable upon registration.
In your submissions, please indicate who is going to attend and present the paper and indicate if you would like your paper to be considered for publication in the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking (JMCB).

Each participant may present at most one paper. Conference participants might be invited to serve as discussants for other papers during the event.
