Alex Klein is the Professor in Economic History at the Department of Economics, University of Sussex Business School He received his PhD from CERGE-EI Prague in 2006. He was a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at Jagiellonian University, Krakow in 2006-2007 and the University of Warwick in 2008-2010. He then worked at the University of Kent, School of Economics between 2011 and 2024 and joined the University of Sussex in 2024.
