Ernesto Villanueva is currently the head at the Division of Microeconomic Studies at Banco de España (BdE). He works on the implementation of surveys on household finances and financial competences and on the analyses of household saving and borrowing, human capital and wage determination. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Northwestern University and was a researcher at Universitat Pompeu Fabra before joining BdE.
