Hanwei Huang is an Assistant Professor at the City University of Hong Kong and a Research Associate at the Centre for Economic Performance at the LSE, and the Center for International Finance and Economics Research at the Tsinghua University.
He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the London School of Economics in 2018. During 2018-2019, he was a postdoctoral research associate at the UCL Department of Economics.
His main research interests are international trade, economic development, industrial organization, and economic history.
