Matthias Thiemann

Matthias Thiemann is Full Professor of European Public Policy at Sciences Po Paris. He holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University, New York. His research focuses on post-crisis financial regulation on the one hand and the use of development banks in Europe as tools for public policy on the other. His research has been published in the Journal of European Public Policy, Review of International Political Economy, New Political Economy, the American Journal of Sociology, among others. His latest research project explores the history and features of the investment apparatus employed by the EU to help Ukraine and other accession countries integrate into the EU.
